Default E-Starter brushless motors

I'm replacing my motor on my gws e=starter and wast to move to brushless. Flying weight now is about 14 oz and the stock motor is the GWS EPS300C . I'm not looking for hovering performance, but would like a power increase. For power I'd like to be able to use a lipo 2s or 3s 1200 or better. I'd also like the motor to mate to a gws gearbox. Any suggestions?

Yes the 300's shaft's get bent easy and the motor isn't very good
so I got 2 of the nippy400's Get a couple of xtra mount's I use them on more than one bird On a Slow Stick it will hang on the
prop if need be. Dymond have a wide selection. CU

Check out the astro 010 brushless in a GWS300C at AeroMicro.com. Just the ticket.

The astro's have a heat problen when
you push them just a little. They are pretty efficiant though with the little props
especialy for fast birds . CU

Im running a Razor RZ350 in my EPS 300C gearbox. It's the perfect replacement for the stock motor and you get a very healthy power increase and drop almost an ounce in overall weight. Course the caveat is the price at $145 with controller (Castle Creations Phoenix25). But once you make the conversion you won't be sorry. I use an O-Ring around the motor case to make it snug inside the gearbox. Works perfectly.

Both alternatives, an Astro Flight 010 or Razor RZ-350 are elegant solutions.

I haven't tested my Razor RZ-350 yet but my 010 in a EPS-300C gearbox works nicely.

In either case, you could use your existing gearbox and mounting scheme.

Default 350!

If I want to put one of those Razor 350 motors on my Tribute and had a CC 20P ESC.... what battery/prop/charger would I need to get to make it perform?
Thanks,

Default two questions if you please...

Hi I just found this thread and I wonder if the razor 400 is actually speed 400 size? Also, what is the shaft size? Thanks!

The Razor 300,350, and 400 are all the same size. The 300 draws the most current, the 400 the least amount.

Shaft size is 2mm on all of them
