Default ratcheting motor

I have a Rimfire Out runner that just will not run smooth, just started doing this. I accident hit the reverse servo function for the throttle which sent a full throttle pulse of current to the motor and snapped it right off my Foami. Did I damage the ESC ?, rated for max current of 15A and I'm useing a 15C 1000mAh battery. According to my calculations the ESC should be fine. Any Help?

Default RE: ratcheting motor

If the motor is oscillating, one of the motor connections was probably broken when it was ejected from the plane. Check the continuity of the three motor wires. It is not likely that the sudden pulse you described would have damaged the ESC or motor.
