motor for heavy sailplane
Ok I need your help again.
I have been trying to find a brushless direct drive motor . The sailplane weighs 50 oz without motor. 102 in ws and 442 square inches. I want a climb angle of > 45 degrees and lass than vertical. I am guessing a 12 x 6 prop. Would like to keep amps as low as possible. I would expect 30 to 45 second power runs with enough left over for at least 3 restarts.
I have tried moto calc and the hacker sight. I have blown most of my cash on a new radio and don't have enough cash to experiment.
Is there anyone that can give me a model number from Hobby King or Ebay or at least a rule of thumb such as watts per pound or ounce. Stall speed would be pretty high I know.
