has anyone tried E-Flite Power 46 on 5S with minimum of 13x6.5 or 13x8 ?

I need to use 5S packs.
ESC will be Hacker 110 opto.

Any comments?

You might be a bit close to the amp limit... but a 300g motor pushing 1000W may be possible... make sure you verify this DriveCalc estimate with a Wattmeter.. and check for over-heating.

I run a Monster Power 46 with a 5000mah 5s battery, 60 amp ESC and run a 13X6 prop. Running it with a 13X7 ( 54.45 amps,927 watts, 135 ounces of thrust) you are at or just above its rated amps. As long as you do not run wide open for the whole flight it should pull it.

I didn't know you were here in RCU also. Mostly saw your postings at RCGroups.

Yes, I will use Watt meter to monitor the amp and others.

Initally, I was planning on use OS motors, but the ground clearance and uncertain data on those motors stopped me going.

I am using an APC 13X7 prop. When I first flew the Giles 202, I had a YS .63 in the nose. Man did it fly well. Hovered at about 80% throttle. Tons of power. Well I have started to move most of my stuff over to E power. I put a MP 46 in the nose with a APC 12.5X6 to start. It flies well with this prop. I can get a long flight time it. If I want wing ripping power i step up to the 13X7. I was surprised at the power difference in the props. With the 13X7, motor and battery is warm after a flight. Not hot, but warmed up.
