Default Can this ESC be used on Planes?

Just bought 3 of these " Hobby King Heli Series 70-80Amp ESC w/BEC", only when I bought them I was in a hurry and for the life of me, I didn't see that they were for Helio's. Can they be used for planes? If so, how do I program the throttle setting from soft start to hard start? Thanks folks.

If you look in the 'files' tab on the HK site for this ESC you will find the programming instructions.
The factory default setting are asterisked which shows it is set for hard acceleration rather than soft.
It would appear however it is set up for low pole count in runners rather than the more conventional 10 to 14 pole out runners used in planes so this would have to be changed. .
