new shaft needed 3.175 X 50 mm
I need a new 3.175 X 50 mm shaft for an KDS inrunner motor. Does anyone know where I can buy one? My on line searches have been unsuccessful

If you use a CD rom shaft, file a flat and put a 1/8" wheel collar in place of the c-clip and groove.

Good idea, I will have to look in may box of computer parts and see what i have . My shaft is pretty simple and only has a flat on one end. If I can't find a CD rom I may just buy a 3 ft length of precision drill rod for $3 from Mcmaster Carr.
