I've searched the posts for this combo with no luck, so sorry if this is a duplicate.

Here is my setup. I can't change motors, esc or battery, but I can afford to change prop or gears. Is there a better prop/gear combo?

Plane = Sig Rascal. 49" span balsa, but fairly lightweight. Sorry, don't know specs.

I am upgrading to:

Motor = Eflite 400 brushless (park 400)
Gear = 2.25 - 1 (motor spins approx 2.25 times for every prop rotation. don't know how to write this)
ESC = 25 amp Castle Creations
Prop = 9 x 4.5
Battery = 9.6v nimh (I have a 700 mah and a 1600 mah)

Thank you very much for you assistance. What do you think is the best site that I could go to, to figure this kind of thing out for myself?

As far as I can tell everything you have should work great in the Rascal.
