I have one of these in a 10.5 ounce Sorta Tensor bipe running a 9X4.7 GWS slo fly Etec HP 700 3 cell. The settings I use on the Phoenix 10 are as follows 7.2 volt cut off, Disable Brake, Standard Timing, Hard Start, soft cut off, sensitive over current. I dont have a manual handy so I may have forgot something but those stated are most important and the reason for lower than recomended voltage cut off point is for hovering and punch out. We fly until the plane starts to slow down in the vertical climb and land then. Has worked for us with no battery damage and never a motor cut in the punch out from hover. Yogi

THanks. I agree with the 7.2V because I experienced the cut-off in pullling out of hovering situation, too. Any reason for the sensitive overrcurrent?

It's so that if for some reason you overload the ESC it will cut current to the motor saving overheat damage to speed control. Examples could be a minor flop over hovering and not chopping the throttle quick enough jamming up the prop and so on. Yogi
