Brushed motor suggestions for a GWS warbird?
I have a few of these planes, and always run them with the geared 350 stock motor.
Now I'm looking for a bit more speed, but without running to the expense of a brusheless/li poly setup. Currently running 8 cell packs.
I see GWS makes some geared 400 motor kits, in the following gear ratios:
2.14:1
2.38:1
2.37:1
3.00:1

I'm thinking also to get the best speed increase I should be looking at a slightly better motor too.
If anyone could suggest a 400 motor that would work well and also suggest which of these gear ratios would be best suited, I'd very much appreciate it. I'm a little concerned as to whether the motor pinion in the GWS gear kit linked above would fit on any 400 size motor or not.
Basically I want a bit more speed & power without making the jump to brushless.
Thanks in advance for any help.
