I built a Custom CDR double brushless motor kit last week. I made it an 8 turn motor using 22 gage wire in a Y wind. I put it on my E-flite Ultimate FX that came in at 15.3 oz all up with a 3 cell 1320 and no landing gear. Using a GWS 9x5 HD propeller the plane has sick power. I'm drawing about 15-18 amps static with 150 watts. The plane hovers at about half throttle and the plane is a rocket when you hit full throttle. This motor out preformed the E-flite 400 920kv that I use to have on it.
