Default ELECTRIC MOTOR MAINTENANCE

I just got into electrics. I now have 3 motors, an E-Flite 480, an E-Flite 25 and a Hacker A30-10XL. Do these motors need any maintenance ? I've been tempted to spray a bit of lube on the bearing area but I am afraid of attracking dirt, etc. They all work well ( I give the Hacker a hard time on 4S ) so do I just leave well enough alone ????

Default RE: ELECTRIC MOTOR MAINTENANCE

Other than keeping then clean, no. After each flight turn the motor slowly and "feel" the bearings, if they don't feel smooth it's time for new ones.
