Default Sebart Sukhoi / Hacker motor ?

I am looking to purchase a motor for a sebart sukhoi 30e and wanted to know what the difference is between the hacker 30-10Xl and 30-8Xl is? I can get a 8XL for a good price used, but is it going to pull the airframe alright? If anyone else has some other suggestions please chime in.

The difference is two turns of wire per stator pole. The 8XL will have a higher Kv rating, which means it will try to spin the propeller at a higher RPM when given the same voltage. You will need to run a bit smaller prop to prevent overloading the motor than you would on the 10XL.

The 10XL will work better on the Sukhoi because you can run a larger prop. Use a APC 14x7E prop and a 3 cell battery.

Does anyone have any ACTUAL current measurements using a Hacker A30-10XL on a 14 x 7 with a 3S1P 2100-2500 battery pack?
I am thinking of using some of the Brand New Thunder Power ProLite V2 packs which are 2600mah at 20C for a constant
amp rating of 52amps... and a 30C burst rating of 78amps.

I know I can get by with good throttle management with these packs, but I would be very interested in knowing the results
of ACTUAL measurements with this motor/batt/prop combo. (or similar batt equivalent such as the Flightpower 2500 or TP
Extreme V2 2200mah etc)

Thanks in Advance for your response(s).

Harley
