Default Help please.

I have a weird thing going on with my setup.
Brushed motor speed 400 can type el-cheapo
GWS 480Li speed control
Berg 4 RX
Airtronics Radiant TX
7.4 li-on pack
Model is a Slipso Speed 400 racer type plane.
Here is the problem. I can not get the motor to run when I first plug in the
battery. I have the throttle stick in the down position. The flight surface
servos will work fine but nothing out of the motor. If I reverse the direction of the
throttle channel, move the stick to full power, then the motor will start running at low power.
I can then, with the motor running, reverse the throttle channel so that it is correct,
and everything works fine.
Any ideas what is going on here?

You probably need to arm the ESC by moving to hi and back to low. Listen for beeps. this is a saftey.

I have tried that and no success, no beeps, nothing from the motor.
If I reverse the throttle direction, move the stick to what should be low,
can then get the motor to run.

Best thing I can suggest is go to the GWS web site and find the instructions for that particular ESC.

I'll file it in the back of my mind and if something else comes up I'll let you know.

Wait, have you tried playing with the throttle end points? If one is off that might explain the strange going's on.wt

Another thing you might try is turning you throttle trim all the way down. Some esc's won't arm unless the throttle is compleatly off.

changing the trims is the same thing as adjusting the end-points only not as permanent.

The GWS instructions make mention of changing the throttle trim to
get it to arm. I have tried that, have changed the low throttle EPA all the
way from 0 to 50% and still no joy. Have tried changing high throttle end
point also. It has to be something about arming,
since I can get it to work when I reverse the direction, this somehow makes
the speed control happy.

Can you get more than 100% on the throttle EPA?

On high throttle, the EPA will go past 100%. I actually have it set at 125% as
that seems to be where the motor no longer gained RPM.

I have a similar problem.
motor :scorpion hk3026-1400kv 10p , 12n , max 85amp , 0,010ohm
lipo 4000mah 3s 11.1v 30c
futaba fp-r115f receiver

I set max throttle , connect the lipo, set 0 throttle.
I can hear 2 beep .
now all the servos works fine but if I increase throttle the motor starts and stops in 0.5 second

I set 0 throttle again then I increase it and the motor spins only for half second again.

any idea?
