Default 2212-6 tourqe question

Hi guys!

Ibought myself a 2212-6 outrunner, since I've heard a lot of good about them, and coupledit with a Zagi 5x5 prop and a 3S lipo. But when it comes to choosing the right motor/prop-combo for the right plane, I'm a beginner...!

I recently built Steve Shumate's T-38 Talon (excellent model) at about 85% to scale and decided to make it ballistic with the above choice. Not a good idea... the tourqe was MASSIVE! It was impossible to control the plane past 30% on the throttle. On the fourth try I also managed to get my finger in the prop during launch, which led to a shameful trip to the hospital earlier today, but thats another story

So, the question it all comes down to is; what should be the minimul wingspan when using this motor/prop? The old rule of thumb of the prop being maximum 1/3 of the wingspan doesnt really cut it this time.

All thoughts appreciated!
