Default ESC Identification

Can anyone tell me how can you tell the difference between looking at a esc with and without a BEC do they both have resistors or capasitors on top? Or is there another way to tell? Thanks Joe

Default RE: ESC Identification

I'm sure some of our more sophisticated e-fliers know how to identify escs by looking at them. Lacking that skill, I jsut plug everything in without an rx battery, if the servo work its got BEC if not it doesn't.
