Default What motor for a ducted fan unit?

Does virtually any brushless inrunner work in an edf application? Or are there specail inrunners that are meant only for edf's?

Default RE: What motor for a ducted fan unit?

It will usually need a high Kv (for 3s use 3000Kv-4500Kv) in order to get the RPM an EDF needs...it also needs to be the correct OD to fit the particular fan.
