hpi 12rss carb starting issues
hi im having trouble strating my engine tryed cleaning the carb it has been sittng for a year and have fresh gas but still wont start.

Remove glowplug and hook it to your glowdriver. Make sure it glows bright....orange, not a dull red
Make sure it is getting primed. Most people hold a finger over the exhaust to do this. Any air leak in the fuel tank, tank lid, pressure line, exhaust gaskets, etc. will prevent priming.
There's more, but I'd try those first.
Also, it helps to turn up your throttle trim a small amount when starting, especially if it's beeen sitting for a while. Juast enough you see the bellows start to move if it's a slide carb. Be ready to turn it back down in case it revs too high, but don't turn it down all the way until the engine warms up a bit.
