Default High End .28

What is a good .28 engine that has a great top end for an Kyosho Inferno GT 2? Up to about $400 in price.

If you could find one, it would be about $450 Sure you're up for this expense?

The 528XR is still available under Fusion I think is the name.. Fusion I believe is some race-engine company out of Texas.. Google it..

For an IGT2 though I would get an OS 25XZ... IMHO a big bad 28 is waste is almost all 1/8 scale kinds of cars - MT, truggy, GT, and of course buggy.. A good bit of all that extra torque just goes to eating up your drivetrain.. The 25XZ will have plenty of bottom end for an IGT2, and more top end than any 28... AND drink less fuel...

Of course, if it HAS to be a .28, then the stock OS 28XZ is about as good as it gets - at least as good as a Nova...

I would get the OS.28XZ and get a drag mod from ABmods, the top end is unreal for a .28 , low end is just as good as stock, the most difference is from mid to top its just nuts. stock it did 1.97hp/79.83oz tq , with the drag mod 2.51hp/91.26oz tq

Thats the engine that got dynoed on my friend's 1/7 scale Ofna DM1 pro , its on stock gearing both test, ofna 086 pipe, 30% nitro.
