Default My Buggy Keeps Cutting Out

Hey guys,
My Dad and I have been working on a trouble we have had for about a month now.

What happened was, We were at our local race meet and all of a sudden, it stopped and wouldn't run again. So we swapped out the motors and the same thing happened.

It has done the same for the 4+ motors that we have put in it. We have got a brand new one in there right now.

We have replaced the glow plug a few times and same with the fuel line. We have put a new tank in as well. We bought new fuel to eliminate that as a possible cause.

We have turned every screw every direction and are completely lost. There will be times when it runs perfect. We shut her off and don't touch a thing. When we start it in 2 mins time. Its gone again.

It seems to be cutting out at the top end and if left idle too long
(Edit: It will rev up on the starter box but ass soon as I put it on the ground it wont go.)

Edit: Engine is an Orange Alpha. If it helps the car is a Mugen MBX6
Any help if greatly appreciated,

Blake

That has to be the most confusing amount of facts I've ever seen.

Changing engines seems to imply you havn't tried tuning, but yet you say you have.

And sometimes everything is OK.

So it's a wild arse guess on my part, but I'd look for a leak in the fuel tank pressurization.

Look for a bad fuel tank lid o-ring seal. Look for a bad pressure line (ripped near where it fixes to the nipples). Look for a bad exhaust seal (allowing exhaust pressure to drop and consequently poor pressure to fuel tank).

See if you can get more info, and if possible, see if a pattern is emerging. The more you can let us know, the better.

get a basher and learn to tune and while your gain experince you'll be able to solve all your problems ...an experenced enthuisest could prolly just look at it and or hear whats exactly wrong in your case it could simply tuning or clutch issues or even bad fuel

Sounds like a tuning issue, probably too lean.
