putting different carbs on engines..?
Hello.
My team infinity 528's screw that holds the carby on has stripped. i dont realy want to drill a new hole.
i have put a hyper 21 carby on it. it fits well withouth a screw, i just heated the opening with a heatgun and hammered it in.
Im just wanting to no is it ok to do this?

As far as trying different carbs on different engines, thats fine. but heating the block and hammering a carb into it is not ok. there is a good chance of the block cracking (exspecially that engine as it is cheap to begin with- it's basically a rebadged Toki engine that you paid way too much for) If the block doesnt crack then guess whats gonna happen when the engine warms up to operating temp? the carb will probally loosen and fall off.
