Uniball on the carby slide

Can someone tell me if the uniball on the carby is supposed to be straight ? I think I have damaged mine but I hadn't looked at it prior to the crash.

Every one I've seen was straight. Nice thing is, the linkage part is usually separate from the slide valve, so replacing it is usually pretty easy and fairly cheap.
