Default wasp .18 can I cut the crank to fit into a tmaxx?

I have searched 300 posts and could not find a good answer to this newbie question.

I have a wasp .18 80210 with the standard crank. Can I simply cut the crank and install the stock tmaxx flywheel and clutch? The base of the crank is keyed (flat on two sides) and I was not sure if this would work.

Thanks a bunch!

Jeff

yes you have to do that, thats what i did with my nitro rustler. i used a flywheel nut with a shaft on it and i used the stock flywheel and collet, but you with have to make a custom spacer to fit in between the flyweel and clutch nut to make sure the flywheel is pushed down tight.
