What would happen if...
As some of you know, I've been having a witch of a time with the one-way bearing slipping on my Collari .32. As a replacement bearing and cam would cost around $70, I've decided that ditching the rotostart and going with a starter box is the way to go. Not only does it solve the starting problem, but it should also free up a little power.
As I have not been able to find anything in the way of an eliminator plate for the engine, I had an idea that I wanted to run past everybody. What would happen if I were to keep the stock back plate, get rid of the bearing, and silver solder the cam in place?
The one-way is internal to the crankcase. By getting rid of it, it would open up the internal volume. Could this be a problem?
Thanks!
