Default glow plug/engine head connection problems

Hi all, I'm having problems with where my glow plug screws into the top of the engine. The problem is that it just keep going and never actually tightens, so I don't have any compression. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it. I think it's because I tried to tighten the glow plug too much that last time I had it out and I stripped the threads in the head of the engine, because the glow plug I just tried to put in was nip, so I tried the old one and got the same result. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help

Ya, you definitely need a new head or the under-head, depending on how your motor is set-up.

With glow plugs you just tighten, and once you feel resistance just tighten the slightest amount more and stop.

You're right I took it apart and found the under-head, so that is the good news because it's not as expensive as replacing the whole head (my wife already thinks I spend way too much money on my truck) That's the good news. Bad news is I have to wait until next week until the LHS gets another one for me to put in.
