Default AXE Rossi Enigine

I just want to know if I should really get this engine.

the race season is not to far away and I plan on using my hopped up to the max LOSI 8T. I am hoping I can race both the spring and fall seasons with out needing another engine until next year. Please fill me in with your thoughts even if you don't have this engine.

I was debating pretty much the same thing between the Axe Rossi Mamba and the OS 21 VZ VSpec.

Does the Axe come with the carb restrictors like the OS? Anyone used em both? Which is better?

and that engine sounds hot! Lots of power from the specs.

Well I know the cobra vp hot mod shows two restrictors which is a definite plus. My main concern is how long will the engine last if it can run at 51000rpms. The vspec was discontinued on tower hobbies. They still have parts for it but I always stay clear of discontinued engines.

jammin jpx21,os based jx21,vspec will all beat that motor. why dont you get in touch with adam at abmods or supertib who uses this forum?they are both great modders and would be able to sort you out for cheaper than that. hope this helps.

Was your VSPEC moded, if so, I can understand why it was faster.

no the vspec i was comparing it to was a standard version, i do have a ab modded vspec though. maybe i just got a bad axe cobra but it never did anything for me. $460us or what ever it is puts it in serious motor prices.

well that is wierd because one of my racing buddies had the regular vspec and until he moded it is had poor bottom end. After the mod he was out of the block like a rocket . I guess it is the way certain people tune there engines. He also went through alot of clutch bearings before the mod was done.

If this is a ready to run I would guess it has 3 ports. You can also count the holes in the sleeve I believe that is how the determine the intake and exhaust port amounts. Calling the manufacture or emailing them can't hurt .
