RE: carden 30% extra
Vinny,
What kind of tips are you looking for. Ive built and flown three of them all excellent airplanes. Masde the mistake of selling my last one 4 months ago and am kicking myself. Tell Glenn R. that Pete from Florida says hi and Im working hard on my Bandit. Let me know what info you want and I will be glad to help. That aircraft is probably one of the best Ive flown..

RE: carden 30% extra
I would suggest as far as servos are concerned on my firts one I had Futaba 9202's and stripped a few. I have since replaced them all and flew the last two with JR 4721 and 8411's and have never had a problem. I know they are a little more expensive, but just think about the time and money you already have in it and they are well worth the extra money!!! As far as CG right on the tube as Carden says. I definately recommend the TOC mod that came with the plans for the increased size in the elevators and rudder. Build it exactly like carden says you wont be sorry. Mine where all around 19lbs. Use probond on the wings and tail, and you can use sourhgum on the rest. I also built the forward hatch and made it removable all the way back to the Turtle deck just like his larger kits. I strongly recommend Hangar 9 titanium pushrods and rocket city hardware and control arms. I put a b&b tank in mine right on top of the wing tube and it fit real good, just make sure you get the rectangle one. Other than that great airplane. My last one was in the Phil Knight scheme available from Kirbys graphics, and it came out real nice. Good luck!!

Wow, thanks Pete! I appreciate the advice. This one is already built, it is the one that was listed on RCU (ItemNo: 4522).
At this point in my life, with all the work related travel I so it would take me 2 years to build a kit like this. The builder (Chris) really seems to know his stuff and the plane sounds absolutely great. I will be receiving it week after next when I return from business travel. I am really looking forward to it. I run the engine frequently on the stand just to her it run Anyway, thatks for the advice, it is appreciated.
Take care
Oscar

Looking good Vinny,
I just got mine all ready to go night before last. Flying weather is right around the corner, can't wait! I'll post pictures this weekend.

The plane in my avitar is a 30% Carden Extra. Very nice flying plane, you are going to like it..
I have a 3W-75, with Hitec 5945 servos. I don't remember the weight exactly but I thought it was around 21 lbs., I could easily be wrong on that point.

Looks nice Jemo!
I have a 3-W70 twin on mine and like you, I opted for the Hitec digital servos. I drove up to Kirby's and we did the graphics for it. That was a real nice experience and he provide good instructions on the trics one needs to know to put them on successfully. I will post pictures this weekend.
