CG For Carden 35% Edge
Posting for a friend. What CG are you guys using for various types of flying? He's on the verge of 3D but hasn't flown the plane yet. He should be finished building it in a couple of weeks.
What's a good place to start? Thanks_bob

RE: CG For Carden 35% Edge
I started out with my CG at 5 1/4 at the wing tips, that took two lbs of lead bolted to the motor to get there. I'm now flying at 6 1/4 CG at the wing tips and quite frankly can't tell the difference other than I'm no longer hauling around two lbs dead weight. AT the 6 1/4 Cg I barely have to input any down to fly level inverted, hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Ralph. I did think there would be more replies though Are you saying that you are measuring 6 1/4 from the leading edge at the tip? Take care_bob

RE: CG For Carden 35% Edge
Hello Bob
Yes everything was measured at the wing tips. If you need more input try the yahoo groups ( mini-iac ) or ( gsal ). Info from those groups is what caused me to start out at 5 1/4. The best info is straight from the horses mouth ( Dennis ) at Carden ( 433-295-2295 ) Good luck
