I'm assuming that you are wanting to run a single servo? I did this once by mounting the servo on the bottom of the fuse just forward of the tail wheel mount. I then ran a couple CF pushrods to a double horn bolted to the bottom of the rudder. I have only seen a single servo single pushrod done once.

Im a big fan of push pull. I'm just concerned if the plane is going to CG easily if i put the servo in the tail of a 35% carden extra. My Pro has the servos in the tail but I dont know where the 35% was originally intended to have the rudder servo.

The Carden was designed to have the servo set up on Pull pull. I'm curious to why you think it would need the weight towards the tail? That airplane should balance just fine with a DA 100 ( not the light version ) or 3W 106 as those were the most popular engines at the time that airplane was designed. Look up the weights of those two engines and compare to the engine you are going to use. You should figure out what to do from there. You would also be able to adjust CG via battery placement and component selection.

Its not a question of needing weight in the tail. I want the rudder on push pull, it is a much better setup than pull pull. But if the needs of CG dictate a pull pull so be it.
