Anyone else out there have an El Bandito from Carden?
I got my kit I think like 9+ years ago. Built it back then and flew it about 10 times. Then BAM, first kit was born.
Now that #4 kid is 2 1/2, I"ve been flying again.
Finally took the El Bandito out of mothball and it flies great!
No one at the field heard of it and I noticed they don't sell it anymore.
Was wondering if anyone else had one or still has one?

Don't have one but remember it very well. Are you sure you got the kit 9 years ago ? That kit came out around 1991.

Well, I know I was building it in my current house I got in '97.
My son was born in June '99 and I don't think I made a purchase that big after we started having Kids.

The El Bandito was Cardens first giant aerobat. Its actually a Bob Godfrey Laser with a different top hatch and turtle deck on it. Great flying plane.....Walt

I missed your post. Have you been flying it?

BTW, Mine as you can see is a bit bigger.

I have a Quadra 75cc in mine. I can hang on a prop pretty easy w/ this power.
I found a pic of me building this in my old house which I moved out of in early 1997 so that makes this plane 12 years old.
I actually still have the original 5 cellNiCd still in it. Flies nice. I do need to put some more throws on it. Ailerons area is not that big.
