My Custom Turbocharged 1997 Mercedes E320
I haven't been signed on this site since 8th grade and now I'm starting college lol still hasn't changed too much. Just rediscovered it in my ventures to turbocharge an old OS .40 I have in my t-maxx. I've just been lurking about for the past 4 years reading info on my ancient super nitro rs4 and t-maxx. But enough of the rc stuff. There's an 1:1 section, neat.
If it wasn't for my experience in RC cars I would have never been able to do what I have done with my real car.
Here is my current ride: A 1997 Mercedes E320 with custom fabricated turbocharger kit of which I did the fabricating. It first made 352whp and 366wtq at 8psi but I lowered the compression and it now makes 310/330 at the wheels at 10psi. Its been a rough journey as its the first EFI M104 from mercedes to be turbocharged(the other turbo m104's have the old school CIS fuel injection) but overall it was and is a great experience.
Here it is on the dyno after the compression lowering running 10psi

RE: My Custom Turbocharged 1997 Mercedes E320
My first car was a 1986 Mercedes 300e I got for free from my grandpa. It took a lot of work to get it running again and after all was said and done I was in love with Mercedes. Probably the main reason is I like things that are unconventional and unseen. I wouldn't enjoy just buying a kit for a car, slapping it on and calling it a day. I like the whole experience and you cant go out and buy pre-made parts if you get frustrated, you just have to make your own and work through the problems yourself. The car seemed like a good candidate anyway since it has forged rods and a strengthened crank, german cars are traditionally overbuilt. The sleeper effect of the whole car is also another one of my favorites, absolutely no one expects it to be modifed.

Cool. I guess Audi's aren't the sleeper I think they are, I want to get an S4 and modify the crap out of it so it'll be Z06's and whatnot.
