    Mazda MX-5 Miata

Looking to buy a Miata as a sort of "midlife crisis play-toy". Sort of the poor man's sports car. Who knows about them, what years are the best to have (looking at 2001-2006). I don't plan to make a sleeper out of it, but might add a performance exhaust and open up the intake a bit, and put a better suspension under it.

Is it worth finding a 6-speed, or is the 5-speed okay? Are there any problems to look for, or particular models to stay away from?

    RE: Mazda MX-5 Miata

I'm not too familiar with them but I know the 6 speed version comes with a limited slip differential where the 5 speed does not. The mazdaspeed version is the ideal one to get but also cost more cause it's turbocharged(first version MS). The newer models are different and I dont know anything about them. My dad had a special edition, 6 speed, and leather. Nice car but man it's small(and I'm 5'7). Dont pull up to close to the traffic lights or you cant see them casue the roof is so low!! They handle great though and look even better with a hardtop.

    RE: Mazda MX-5 Miata

Haven't been on RCU more than once in about a year. Was just nosing around today and found this thread I started almost 2 years ago. I don't remember it, and at the time looking for a car was just a crazy notion.

Well, July 2010 rolled around and I found a car, a 2000 Miata. Maybe not as powerful as an S2000, but exactly what I was looking for. Since I got it in July, I've put a performance suspension under it which included lowering it an inch, and a full exhaust with header, new wheels and tires. Came with the hardtop. As said above, it is a bit small, but I fit fine and it is very comfortable for long stretches.

I've made it a daily driver, so I can park my diesel-hog truck. With fuel rolling over $3.25/gal, I don't want to drive that thing any more than necessary. The car gets 25-30 mpg, the best I've got is interstate at 70-80 mph. While not a drag racer, it will run 130, and the handling is incredible. Using an i-phone app, I've done .88 g lateral, with so-so all season tires.

Plans down the road are for a second set of stickier tires, some additional appearance improvements, and possibly a supercharger. Lots of bolt-on kits available to put down anywhere from 175-250 rear wheel horsepower; consider this car only weighs 2100 pounds.

Try to have CircuitThrash - 1/9 Schaal 2WD RC Monster Truck met LED verlichting. The Circuit Thrash is an American style 2 wheeldrive 1/9 scale monster truck this model provides a lot of fun. The 2WD setupcomes with a powerful motor and battery this means that the monster truckwheelies with ease can perform and it is equipped with an adjustable wheeliebar. The battery is a 2500mAh larger for more power and longer term, togetherwith the electronic controller 50A and 540 engine ensures that the model caneasily do wheelies. The long independent suspension so the ground clearance isfully adjustable and the motor is mounted above the rear differential, allowingfor a slimmer lighter chassis with the battery in the middle for bettertreatment while performing wheelies.>>
