where to buy parts for my matrix tr arena truggy?
hi guys,
i have a list of about 10 parts which i need for my truggy as ive neglected it for the past few years.
i can get them here in sydney from a supplier however their pricing is double that of what is listed on the cen e-commerce website...im looking at close to $200 to get it up & running! tyres alone are $80 for a set of 4 as my tyres have cracked from age, no wear at all though as i hardly drove it thing.
i am thinking of just buying the parts from cen racing as they are cheapest, however, ive emailed them requested whether they have all parts in stock (its hard to tell what quantities are in stock on their website), how much for shipping to sydney & expected turnaround time...no response as yet!
what are my other options? i.e. where else can i sought these parts as i have also been told that some of these parts are now discontinued? maybe ebay or something?

I tried eBay with no luck..
Such a shame as I rarely used my truggy...it seems like a waste of a nitro car

It looks like quite a few things on your list are common hardware you can get from another brand or possible to make alternate parts fit like in the case of the tires. If you can get me dimensions I could make those plastic linkages for you.

well i obtained a quote from a local supplier in syd & they quoted me $200 just for a set of aftermarket tyres!
i bought the entire car complete for $700 so i dont think it is worth replacing all of the parts i need...im sure i'll spend over $400 by the time im done with everything i need.
can i sell it as is & if so, what & where is the best way to sell it? i.e. ebay, on this forum etc

thank you Cen for coming in to save us, but would love to see brushless conversion for matrix tr. with the way the brake set up is on center diffs makes it very hard to make something to convert.

Hey Taj, no problem, thats what we are here for!
I have personally ordered the parts to convert my Martix Arena TR to brushless using existing parts from the Matrix R3-E. It does not use the mechanical brakes it uses the usual electric motor brake. Bonus!! Iam hoping I can do it using stock parts and post a list of the parts needed!! If it goes well, I will lobby management for a packaged kit!! No Promises, just my personal goal!
If you are interested, I will post the parts I have ordered and start a build thread!! Of course there will probably be much testing and tuning, but we will see!

Nice!!! i would like to see parts list and pics of completed conversion. i have not seen the Matrix R3-E. i do know there was a kit for matrix buggy that would not fit the TR, but im interested in what you can do with the parts. just was looking at the TR3. i might have to get one, thanks for the help and answers.

Yeah!!! Ditto on the above post there Mr. CEN sir. I've got a RTR kit with the CEN blue head .28 and I love it. (tough as nails) But it sure would be nice to throw a 4-5000mah 4s lipo on there & go run circles around an eightT 2.0 or a NEXX8T with an almost 8 year old design. How long does it take to cad/cam and prototype a hunk of aluminum I can mount a brushless motor to? Come on dude,light a fire under some kiesters,will ya?/

I have been told by this cen rep that they would have a list of parts for conversion a YEAR AGO. Now I have to say I might have to move on from this very nice truggy that has no representation or good parts store. I'm not sure ebay can thrust my interest back to cen products, even that lower costs or used.
