Default Genesis shifting problem

I am having a problem with my Gen not shifting into 2nd gear after it warms up. When the truck is cold it shifts fine, but after I have been running it for about 5 minutes, it no longer shifts. I am not sure if it isn't up-shifting to second or if it never down-shifts back to first. Is it possible that there is a clearance issue with the second gear clutch which, after it heats up, won't allow it to release?

Alos, I have never heard it shift into third gear, but that is another issue entirely, I am sure. I would be happy if I could just get the truck to shift into second consistently.

Any insight as to what this could be would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bill

Default RE: Genesis shifting problem

im no expert on the gen, but it sounds like a tuning issue to me mate.

have u tried leaning it out a bit more to see if it shifts when warm?

there have been a few posts on here regarding gens gear shifts, have a search about, see if any help u out.

oh - and to check its getting into second, try screwing the 2nd gear clutch set screw all the way in, counting the turns as u go so u know where u started, then back it out til u get 2nd. the same goes for 3rd gear.

good luck mate

Thanks for the input PJ, but I have already tried all the adjusting procedures and as I stated, it shifts fine when it's cold, but after the drive train warms up it stops shifting. Thant is why I was wondering if it could be a clearance issue.

Thanks again.
