More info and pics. Looks like a reworked funfactor line. Wonder if it will have any improved drivetrain parts that we can use in the funfactors (like improved diff cups and cvds)?

Any topless pics? I really would love to see the truck without the body on!

Yeah me too. See whether much has changed underneath apart from the things the have already been mentioned.

It'd be cool if there was more info on the new dimensions and improvements over the original too.

Looks like the dual stingers from the stock exhaust, same front bumper on the buggy, upper and lower arms look the same, shock towers are the same design at least. Looks like the chassis got the biggest makeover, one piece and longer. Wouldn't mind a look at the new top plate though, similar to the JT one maybe?

Cool, thanks for the pics. Could you tell us about any changes that may not be visible? i.e. diff cups, cvds and things like that. Thanks.

The entire drivetrain are re-engineered

It also comes standard with 144oz high torque, ball bearing, metal gears servos w/ Digital radio system.

We are expecting to hit US around end of Dec/ early Jan. with street price around $300

Would be nice to see a roar legal ST some time soon.

what scale is the ct5? its got a bb so its not roar legal if its 1/10th, nor legal for 1/8th.

Mulletman, I reckon that alot of these parts are compatible with the FF anyway. You may not need to buy the complete truck, rather select the parts that are an upgrade on the Magnum and switch them over onto the FF. That said, I know I will pick one up as soon as it is released anyway!!

From the looks of it the majority of the parts used is from the Fun Factors. Instead of a FF part number they will have an NX part number.
I really wished that they used a beefier CVD.

i dont see much point in "upgrading" tbh - u can lay down the steering servo, mod ur radio tray, add a bigger tank, and stiffen the chassis without using any cen parts and save a good few bucks.

what i am pleased to see tho is a decent radio - hopefully that comes with a decent failsafe too.

i think the main issue was to loose the "FunFactor" name, cos its a bit gay, frankly (someone had to say it), but underneath its just the same truck but with a chassis pretty similar to jts jobby and an .18 in it - good combination i have to admit!

bloody shame about the cvs tho, but i am intrigued by this "all new drivetrain" - any more info/pics?

Yeah, definitely need more info. Looks like the JT has been discontinued but CEN have picked up the design and carried it on. With you on the name, possibly why it didn't get as much success as it deserved. Fun Factor does sound a bit light in the loafers. Looking forward to getting some additional information as and when it gets 'leaked'.

Great color, like the body also. I just really hope the metal they used for the drivetrain parts is a hardened steel not same soft metal. THANKS CEN for keepin with the same layout as the ff. now I've got a MAGNUM first gen. Not a fun factor LOL.

It is a good looking truck and it has some welcomed improvements but I hope that they are using better steel in the cvd's and dog bones. If their .18 produces anywhere near the same power as the OS .18 they are going to wish that they had also due to the warranty claims.

Why they didn't use a larger cvd is beyond me especially when I have proven you can swap 1/8 scale buggy cvd's in less than an 2 hours and never have to worry about breakages.

I would be hoping for things like hardened steel bevel gears as standard, four instead of three planetary gears and diffs more similar to buggy items, with the diff cups connected to the bevel gears rather than running through the diffs like they do now. Also the option of getting aluminum inner diff cases would be nice. The plastic ones in mine are getting pretty worn now and I would love to upgrade rather than just replace the housing.

Might have to Dr Honda about the inner diff housing. I doubt CEN upgraded the one in the new truck.

I would like to know why they stayed with the 2.2 wheels. If they have any desire to race it will not be legal.

I was thinking the same rolland. I would imagine they would be a lot more expensive to produce due to the block it would have to start from and the amount of wastage involved. Would be rather nice though!

Guys:

We remake the inner diff. housing as well as the outdrives and the CVD.

Both Talon/Mangum and CT5 are 1/10.

Roar is planning to have a 4wd Gas truck in the 2006, its not finalize but if it actually fall through, we will be kicking ass out there. As far as the Monster truck class, we will be racing the Mangum NX.

Talon and Mangum are considered brand new vehicles. Fun Factor name is dropped

I would really like aluminum diff housings. It would really make the chassis a lot more sturdy. If this topic is approached with DrHonda, i'm in.

But how are they remade? Did you make them thicker, harder, stronger? Will they work with the funfactors?
