CEN Turbo 2.5 8 port in the Matrix
I'm just wondering, is it possible? Is the engine to weak to run a 1/8th scale buggy? I'm asking coz I saw that this engine is actually 1.8 hp close to an osrg.21's 1.9.
thanks and God Bless,

You could put a .12 size engine in your matrix and it would run.
The reason we run .21 size engines for racing is that is the rule! That is the max you can have. Doesn't say anything about going smaller.
In fact, Mark Pavidis the 1/8th scale WORLD CHAMPION ran a .21 size engine in his truggy at the silver state race and TQ'ed because he didn't need to pit in a 10 min heat. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
So I would say, get the engine you want and make that sucker fit!

I'm not going to do it anytime soon because I still like my Matrix untouched and brand spanking new and secondly I don't have the knowledge on how to do it.
In the future though I might.
take care and God Bless you Gabe and the whole CEN team!!!

Thanks for the reply Gabe!!! Do you think it's going to power it sufficiently to at least keep up with the competition like rg's and hyper 8 ports?

The larger the displacement on the engine, the more torque it will create. So your car will move, it just will not "snap" out of the turns like you would want for racing.
