Wheel slop
OK here is another thread, so I am a post ***** today.
I have added the extra bearings to the wheels, and tightened up what i can, but I still have an extreme amount about wheel slop, and its to the point is effects my steering.

RE: Wheel slop
Roller bearings in the steering post. I think its 4 in total, they are the same size as the clutchbell bearings - 5x8x2.5 iirc. Made a nice big difference to mine.
Check its not just the hex in the wheel that has worn/enlarged before you buy anything. Clamp on hexes can also help, depending on where the slop is, its hard to tell sometimes. Check the rod ends too, oh, and the pillow balls. Hubs, bearings etc.
I know how you feel, mines starting to get a bit sloppy too, most is down to play in the hub bearings though.

RE: Wheel slop
Guess it depends how worn the plastic one is. My alloy one made a load of difference, probably due to me running on the beach.
Find where the slop is before buying, the link is a bit bloomin pricey.

I also used a few really thin washers behind the axle pin to take up some of the axle slop and to help with setting the wheel hex all of the way on.

RE: Wheel slop
Alum link made a definite noticable difference in both my FFs too. Definately go for the steering post bearings, big difference there too.
Also, I found that the stock servo arm was very thin plastic and had some flex, so I switched up to a thicker plastic one, and then I actually got an alum one.
