Anyone BIGGIE sized their GST?
Hey folks;
I was just wondering if anyone has gone ahead with the GST 5" stretch chassis on their Genesis, Nemesis or GST 7.7 chassis?
This chassis increases the length of the chassis, and makes it almost 1/5 scale.
I have done the swap back in April of 2007, and now I am about to go the next step, and convert it to a GASSER!
I got in contact with Mike from Team4Monsters, and hopefully in under two weeks I will have my GASSED GST!
I will take pics of my Stretched GST, beside that of the Stock GST. ( If it works good, then I will do another later in the year)

RE: Anyone BIGGIE sized their GST?
Wow, i have been thinking about doing this my self. The thing is, it really is a lot of money to do the kit/conversion.. BUT i am glad to see somebody else who has the same idea! Please post pics and possibly a build thread? Hopefully some video too after you complete it?
Great to see another person with a CEN!

Well, it is alot of money, but I am going to do it on a shoe string budget.
A new shoe string, but still...
I have the chassis, so that saves, and I am going to use an old BAJA 23 cc motor, the rest is Mike's stuff.
I like the GST, much better than the T-Maxx, and Savage, but just not the Nitro.
Speaking of Savage, just quickly, I also have his 1/5 Scale Savage X, again with the 5" stretch kit. (But that is for a different forum)
I will do up a build of it. Pics etc.

RE: Anyone BIGGIE sized their GST?
Well, its not an overly overpriced unit when you add everything up. New GST $500.00
Body $125.00
Chassis, and Motor Kit 850.00
$1425.00
This just leaves you to assemble everything. The Ebay deal is all together, ready for GAS.
You might do a little better on the GST, less if you have one already. I bought the Savage X kit off
him in November 2007. Brand New Savage X, stretch kit and body. Still sitting in the box.

RE: Anyone BIGGIE sized their GST?
Well all the parts are on the way. I should see them maybe by Friday. I also picked up a used Baja 23cc motor, clutch carb etc, off the Baja forum, so that completes it. Now I have to start clearing a space to work on the GST.
I am looking forward to this build.
We will see how durable now this already tough truck will hold up to that of a motor 3 X the size in displacement.
