tight swash
I have noticed the swash plate on my pred max is fairly tight on the shaft, is it supposed to be this firm?
I have the heli about 85-90% complete.
I am waiting for my YS91 and have to connect up the control rods and get them set up.
Can't wait till the vermin's airborn.
all the best

P.S I also painted the frames chevy orange with some enamel engine paint and cooked it in the oven to cure it (when the missis wasn't around), looks nice. The raw Aluminum did'nt do it for me.

The swash should be free to slide on the main shaft without binding. At the same time it must not be so loose as to "rattle". If a drop or two of oil does not free it up, then you may need to look for an imperfection on the main shaft, like a burr or scratch. If you find either of these, you need to smooth them out so that the shaft is again round.

I had a similar problem with an X-Cell. They told me to just relieve it by using 300 grit sandpaper on the mainshaft in the area the swashplate and washout hub would move.
