When the gyro is set wright is the light suppose to stay on or is it suppose to flash slow

Light on solid = initialized correctly and in heading hold mode
Slow single flash = an error condition (usually this means the gyro switch isnt in heading hold mode, the switch isn't correctly configured in the radio, or the single wire is unplugged)
Double flash = gyro receiving a rudder input
Light off = properly intialized and then set to rate mode.
