Default Century Hawk Pro with Futaba 7CHP

I have a Century Hawk Pro with a Futaba 7CHP Radio. Does anyone have any basic / beginner radio settings that will work with this aircraft? I'm having trouble with it yawing to either the left or right (can't remember right now) and I'm assuming it's a radio setting with maybe the Gyro? Any beginner settings would be appreciated... I have checked and rechecked that the rail is centered but, as soon as it get's light on the skids it yaws.

Could be several things but it sounds like your gyro is either not configured correctly or its reversed.

What gyro are we talking about?

If everything is mechanically correct...

Put the gyro in rate mode or normal mode (little switch on top)
Set the gain knob about half way
Make sure you are using a servo arm hole that lets you have full pitch slider without binding the linkage, move in or out a hole as required.
Set the mode back to avcs (heading hold)

Give right rudder stick, the tail blades should change pitch so as to push the tail to the left. If thats wrong reverse the rudder channel in the transmitter.

Pick up the heli by the head and turn the nose to the left. Make sure the servo does the same thing as when you gave right stick, if thats wrong flip the NOR/REV switch on the gyro.

Adjust the gain until you get a solid feel on the tail without it whipping back and forth.

240 is a rate gyro.

Can't remeber if it has remote gain. If not, set it to 60% to start. Then set your urdder mechanically with center trim on the radio, to a few degrees to the right. Basically this is a static set-up for torque compensation. It is a grey set-up and can be adjusted so in a hover it hold farely steady at center. Trim the rest for fine tuning the rudder in a hover. I enclosed a pic that explains it pretty well. I got it from another site somewhere. If your rudder moves in the correct direction with the stick but tries to spin left(nose) on lift off, reverse the gyro switch and you should be GTG.

The 240 doesn't have remote gain.

Its a heading hold gyro that can be run in heading hold or rate mode.
