Need radio gear and gyro for my heli

Of course that would all depend on your budget and the type of flying you will be doing with it - training, scale, sport aerobatics or 3D.

The minimum I recommend would be servos like the Futaba S3151, a gyro like their GY520 with an inexpensive basic servo like their S-148 for the throttle.

I just want to fly it.Im not concerned with aerobatics and 3D.I need the transmitter,receiver,4 servos for control and a gyro with servo.Of course I will need the wiring harness and a switch.It can be a 6 channel transmitter.Century says it needs a 6 channel radio with heading hold and heading lock.I don't need anything fancy just one that will work to fly the heli.

Back to my initial question - what budget are you working with. In deciding on radio gear for any heli, my first criteria is DEPENDABILITY/RELIABILITY. For sport flying, a slower and lower torque servo, on a heli of that size, will never cause it to crash, but a servo with higher specs from a less proven manufacturer may not be as dependable/reliable and such a servo, that stops working properly will cause a crash, it does not mater how good a pilot is, That is why I like the Futaba servos I mentioned. If you are ight for budget and just sport flying then you can go all with the Futaba S-148's.

I can spend 250 dollars if that's possible.Thats just for the transmitter and receiver,batteries etc.It doesn't include servos or the gyro.I can buy the rest of the stuff myself.They have a 6 channel futaba I was looking at.I think its an older model but may work.Thanks

Then I would go with this system without servos, or even better get it with the four great digital S3151 servos for only $70.00 more ($17.50 per servo).

I personally prefer a 7 channel radio for use on Nitro/Glow powered helis as they are much more user friendly if ever you install a governor.

3 channels for cyclic, 1 channel for throttle, 1 channel for collective, 1 channel for gyro mode selection and the 7th channel for selecting different rotor speeds.

Go used. You can pick up a decent Futaba 7c or 8/9 channel FM with servos and have money left over for the gyro and servo. Don't listen to "you have to have 2.4" I still fly Fm just fine with no issues. Oh, and noone else seems to be on 72Mhz so no conflicts. On another note. I flew my Hawk Sport with an ole mechanical gyro (G-154) until two years ago just fine. Still have it and run Futaba 3004s on all the controls and now fly it with a "used" Gy-601/9251 servo combo. Just scale type flying for me. If you need any help with that Hawk, lmk.

Negotiate the price. Asking only puts you at $270. You should be able to get all this for around 220-230.

Then you need a good 3Amp or greater, regulator and a 2S Lipo battery for power. ($40-$60)
