Got it. I would run it at whatever the 6.5 cc Macs MP piped engine will turn a 9x7 or 10x6 at.

If the engine can in fact put out 2 bhp, a 10x6 should be turning in the 16.7K range, yes?

Incidentally, how would the K&B 6.5cc compare in terms of both performance and behavior (for pattern applications) with the ST X40 FIRE (using either its own MAG carb or an OPS 9 mm carb)?

Anyone interested in a NIB 1996 vintage 7.5 RE RI #9101? Original box, instructions, warranty card, 4" exhaust manifold, and a fuse top MACs header.

the stx 40 would be similar in performance, is it the one piece case or two piece case/....the later was one piece..the racers had issues with the piston fit, every time you ean them they grew and got tighter...hence the prather rework with a new piston in stock sleeve..either carb will work fine..FWIW the nelson .40 motors used a ST carb for RC usage from the factory..deburring the cateye on the needle assembly is highly recommended on all st carbs. the 6.5 should be able to turn a 10x6 over 16k more likely 17k

Thanks Lorin.

I think I'll stick to testing out the K&B. I've had one longer than I'm alive and it has never been run. granted, the first one I had was a pure racing RIRE version so I've since picked up a FIRE version for our applications.
