Hmmm. I might finally get me an Escape or XLT. Certainly not from BlueJay.

Well, having done a bit of research in the interim, I decided that was probably not the best motor for the plane. So then I bought a Nova Rossi R61F to pull an 11x9 prop. Then I thought more and bought a YS91 to swing a 13-14 in prop. I am probably over thinking this. Anybody here have an opinion? The bolt pattern is the same.. Airplane with everything but the motor weighs 8lb 13 oz... Thanks for the advice.
Nice to see another of Don's RCAiir.com kits finished. Looks super. I use the pipe down the bottom on a side exhaust on Tipo's based on my conversations with Classic pattern guys that were doing it back when. The vertical CG is better with a pipe off the bottom of the wing when flying a low wing design with anhedral stab. Raising the wing up into the fuselage and reducing or eliminating the anhedral is required to get the same handling when using a rear exhaust engine and pipe down the side on these model designs. I use an OS 61 FSR on a Macs pipe and even though the model weighs a lot (I bought it from a guy that built it as a teen with lots of bond and paint), it flies very balanced. One tie wrap at the field when assembling is not too taxing, or with most cars these days being large enough I sometimes leave it in one piece for months.

Does anyone make a fiberglass fuse Deception? Or something close like the Exception I saw in the earlier part of the thread?

Randy

Yes I make the fiberglass Exception kit with foam cores and a wood laser cut Deception kit.

Hey guys if you have recently contacted me and are waiting for an order or info please write me once again. I accidentally deleted my inbox and a lot of emails that had not been saved were lost. I recovered most of the orders from info on pay pal, but if you have an open order it would be a good idea to contact me so I can check that I have all your info still.

For all of you that have pre paid on the 25% Super Chipmunk Kits. I'm running few weeks behind on it. My Dog "Roy" had a 2 surgeries but old age got the best of him. He passed away last Thursday. Very Sad day for us.
I should be around the end of September with the completed kits is how it's looking now.

Yes I make them the clear canopies and the wood frame kit parts. You paint and tint the canopy the way you want it.

email me and I will send you a price list and answer any other questions that you may have.

Great. I have extra Patty Wagstaff parts but not worth shipping. Some dude wanted me to ship the main wing tube for $25. The shipping alone would be that much. Maybe you can make the canopy cheaper.
