thanks for the link. I went there and all they have is that they are on vacation from Dec 1 to Jan 2. Don't know if this if for this year or from last year. At any rate, you can not navigate the site, you have no menu. Seems to be just like I remember them to be 10 years ago, unavailable.

That's for this year. The day I posted the link the site was still up. Seems they closed the doors a little early for the holidays since it's only Nov. 22!

I find Spring Air folks really great to work with and their equipment is the best. Made in the USA too so that puts them on the top of my list.

Spring Air sells a Schrader fill valve that has a screw on connector. Again I prefer the early Spring Air (or Rhom) aluminum valve that uses the slide in plastic fill probe.

Thanks. I guess that might be the route I have to take. But I really like the small size of the Rhom fill valve and I'm trying to remain as faithful as I can to the original on this classic pattern rebuild. (Although I deviated wildly with the radio gear and batteries). I thought it would be easy to find a proper threaded adaptor to fill this thing but it's been a challenge.

i used to have a Rhom filler. I know I chucked the check valve since mine went bad, but I recall keeping the filler. I will look tonight.

Jeff, if you find the filler I would be interested in it. Mike, that's exactly what my filler valve looks like. It's simple enough, the filler would make it easier though.

Here are the two types of fill valves that have been used by Spring Air http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=7441208
