LA-1
I recently aquired an LA-1 built with a YS 61. He was sitting sideways in a dowel rack in a garage for a period of time(I don't know how long) and there appears to be a divit on the right hand side of the fuse behind the wing where it was laying down, again sideways, as if the glass had caved in as a result of sitting in that position for so long. It's not a deep indentation, but could it possibly affect the flight integrity? Anyone have a way of checking the symmetry of the fuse from such a change, since there could be more effects(hidden) from this long term resting position. Thank you for your inputs.

RE: LA-1
find a laser level. It will allow you to project a straight line from nose to tail. You'll see if there's a bend in it.
As for the indent, if the fuse looks buckled it may fail.

You might find that, especially if it is an epoxy glass fuselage, a little warming from a heat gun and a bit of gentle pressure from the inside will pop the offending dimple back with no sign of anything to show...
