Identify this model
Hi All,
Can anyone out there give me a hand in identifying this model? I thought it might be an SL-1A but when the owner brought it to the field and I got a better look at it I decided it wasn't one.
It's for a 4-stroke engine with a removable belly pan. The model is pretty well built other then the sheeting was put down with contact cement and it's starting to lift in places.
Thanks!

RE: Identify this model
Tony-
it is a Fresh-Aire by Doug Ferguson. Doug flew came in the top ten at the 1981 or 1982 Nats and was invited to the 1982 TOC. I built the wings for his back-up Laser...
A few of us created the Fresh Aire II by making the plug for Jim Graham of RC City in my apartment in the 1991 time frame. None of us every built a Fresh Aire II but know that R/C City sold some.
Doug and Jon Britt were early adopters of the 4-cycle engines beginning with the Enya and then the YS.

RE: Identify this model
Rusty Dose PM'd me and said it's a Fresh Aire by Doug Ferguson. I think it was an RC City kit. With that little memory jog I'm pretty sure Rusty is correct.

RE: Identify this model
I'd have to agree with that.
they used to look all streamlined
now they justlook like a carp that somebody tossed on the levee and left for a couple of days.
but they do fly nicely.

Wow a Fresh-Aire!! I thought that looked familiar.
I flew the Fresh Aire II in Sportsman in So-cal for a season in the mid 90's, very nice plane!! Actually all first places and one 2nd that year with it. Had a ys 120NC as I remember.
