Default My building services

Hello guys,

I know there are some of you that have followed some of my build threads, starting back in May, with this......
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1433646

Then this for Berusty.....
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10572022/tm.htm

Since the TOC Laser 200 fuse's. I have built a, Sig Smith Miniplane, a Pilot .25 Suprafly, a Andrews Aeromaster bipe, a Bridi Kraft Super-fli, and now I am finishing up this......
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1524236

My work table will be empty after tonight, so I would like to offer my building services. I can offer a project to any state of completion, except..........I do not have a place at this time to paint a model. My rates are very resonable, and I can complete a project in a timely manner.
If you would like a reference, you can contact Berusty through RCG.
Please feel free to contact me for more information.

Here are a few pics of the planes mentioned above.

Thanks,
Mark

I can't wait to get my hands on that P8. I will get it shipped to you David as soon as I win the Chicagoland classic with it.

Don, I will send you an email as soon as the kit arrives and I go through it to make sure all is ok.

I will show pics during the build, before first flight and after my win!!!

Thanks for the kind words Roary m. I do appreciate it.

Mark

Mark, I've waited long enough. I want my Phoenix 8 that I paid you to build. I have been waiting for several months and tired of it. With you no longer responding to emails, texts and phone calls I have to try here.

Based upon my above post I may have already saved someone else from this frustration as he was considering using Mark.

David, have you filed a police report yet? I helped me when someone sent me a box of scrap wood instead of a Mach 1 kit.

A box of scrap wood was about what you got with one of the old Midwest Mach I kits. What a pain to build! I built one back in the 70's and as mich as I liked the plane I could never even think about building another.

If you did business through the Mail, you may be better off with the Post Master General's office.
Mail fraud is pretty serious.

Check the obituaries for his area, maybe he died.

Looks like another customer (potential) has decided not to use Mark's services. I have had contact from his fiance though. Expecting contact from Mark on Wednesday as he is 'out of pocket' at the moment. Will keep everyone posted and thx for all the advice.

Has anyone lost money yet, besides the shipping cost, etc., to this builder. Is he overloaded with request's? I don't see how anyone would want to be in the build business. The number of hours to complete each plane, from start to finish, not worth it. Look at the number of hours in a day, and if you have a decent size home, with property, how in the heck would you have time for building someone elses project? It puts you on a schedule, not free to do your own building and flying. My wife always has a project for my building skills.
This builder may have bit off more then he can chew.

Don, the P-8 is the plane I'm trying to get my hands on. It is essentially finished, I have photos of the progress just stopped hearing from him.

Default RE: My building services

Vince,

I have over a grand in this plane. He charged $400 to build the plane but he does not paint so the plane was supposed to arrive with an unfinished fuse. The cost of the short kit plus shipping to Don ($350?), I shipped the engine ($150), retracts ($150), servos ($125), ultracote, pushrods, wheels, epoxy, wood, connectors, receiver, prop, spinner, bolts, etc, etc to the builder plus paid him progress payments. Due to his financial problems I paid him the entire construction fee already. It looks like I have over $1200 in the plane now that I do the math.

He built a few planes for Berusty and the Blue Angel that had a very quick build thread on RCG. I expected no problems due to the previous customers appeared to be happy.

I am getting offers from his area to help out though. I have been contacted by a couple of classic pattern flyers offering to help secure the plane or whatever else they can do. I will keep everyone posted.
