Matt

NICE!

I shoot KK at 1/3 - 1/3 - 1/3 in a small touch up HVLP at 35 PSI. It tacked up in 20 minutes. I also shoot the KK military flats the same way. I may start shooting all my colors in flat the wet sand smooth. It seems take less coats and sands really nice. I'll go over w/ the KK gloss coat for the finish. This is a friends Zirolli 70" P-47-D-15 I finished for him in the flats except for the tank which is done in the semi-gloss.
.

I'm waiting for the monsoon season to clear so I can get the Illusion and Deception in the air ( raining again this weekend).

Ed, I think you are on the money shooting flat KK epoxy. Some of the gloss color, yellow in particular, cover poorly and need several more coats to cover to opacity. It adds a bunch more weight.

Shooting clear over the flat, either gloss or flat, brings the color back anyway.
