Those are great engine finds when they're good runners for those low prices. Gets a guy flying with Classic equipment for a lot less than the NIB collectors prices. I started out using old engines given to me and they are often times good runners.
In fact, my Dad gave me a side exhaust long stroke YS 61 and an OS 61 SF and those are deals you just can't beat!

I started the post with the thought that maybe one of the guys buying the new YS 60 or a YS engine collector would like to get a bid in on what could be one of YS first 60 pressurized engines. It was also for those who have never seen/knew of this engine. I've only seen an old black and white drawing/Ad a long time ago but never saw the engine until now.

You are right about the used engine being a good way for a person to get into flying classic pattern cheaply. I think you can still get a new 61 from out of Asia for under $100 or a guy could pick up a good used engine and save an extra $20 - $30 and put the saving towards a Blue Jay kit or building supplies. Here's two I picked up not long ago if anyone is interested. The Kraft may look a little rough but it was well cared for and you need a prop to turn it over. The Webra I won't see for another two weeks or so but my daughter states she can't turn it over by hand.

For those who don't understand "you know where" the item is located on Ebay. Do a Ebay search for the item numbers.
