Default What motor for electric powered atlanta 60?

Has anyone found a suitable electric motor to use in an Atlanta 60 sized plane? The nose gear dictates a prop in the 11 inch size if operating from short grass runways. I'm initially thinking 1500 watts(ball park figure) with an 11 inch prop should work. I've read a good number of searched threads in the Classic Pattern forum and most seem to use larger props or are fairly old threads. Please don't throw me into the alligator pond for asking this electric question.

Any motor capable of producing 1500-1800W on 6s and a 12" prop (ideally) should work. You'll be looking for motors in the 550-650 Kv range. Higher Kv is best for ballistic performance. Another option is 8s which drops the Kv down to 450-550 but tends to be heavier.

Doxilia, Thanks for your reply.
One motor that seems it might work is the Rimfire 60 ftom Tower. It has constant watts of 1683 and surge (they call it burst) watts of 2200. They recommend a 12X6 on 6 cell. I'd bet an 11X8 prop might also work. 11 inches would be an ideal prop size. At 12 inches it starts to be a bit of a grass mower.
